Jehaz Banda Alpine Rest House
Originally built by a
Lahore-based doctor in collaboration with the local tourism promoter Mr. Taj
Muhammad Khan, aka Raja Taj Muhammad Khan, to promote tourism in the region,
the rest house was originally called Chemren Cottage. However, after the
establishment of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, it came under their
supervision and was renamed Jehaz Banda Alpine Rest House.
The rest house provides
comfortable lodgings to visitors who seek to explore the natural beauty of
Jehaz Banda. It features several rooms with basic amenities, such as beds,
blankets, and heating equipment. The rest house also has a restaurant that
serves traditional meals, offering visitors a variety of local and regional
dishes to enjoy.
Tourists looking to experience
the natural beauty of the area in comfort will find the Jehaz Banda Alpine Rest
House to be an excellent option. It also serves as a great base for trekking,
hiking, camping, and rock climbing in the surrounding mountains, making it an
ideal destination for adventure enthusiasts.
In conclusion, the Jehaz Banda
Alpine Rest House is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventure
seekers who want to immerse themselves in the stunning beauty of Upper Dir and
