Kumrat is a valley in the Upper Dir District, Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa province, of Pakistan. It is one of the attractive valleys of
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and a picturesque spot for Tourist. Every summer season,thousands
of tourists from different areas of the country visit to Kumrat Valley and
enjoy the greenery and cool weather.
Kumrat Valley is covered with green pastures, snow clad mountains, the river Panjkora, foggy mounds and forests are attractions of the region, which serve as habitats for variety of flora and fauna.
It is located in the Upper Dir Kohistan region at the back side of which Swat Kohistan area of Gabral and Utror are located.
Kumrat valley is located in the foothills of Hindu Kush mountains range, surrounded by Chitral to the north, Kalam Swat valley to the east, Ayun valley Chitral to the west & Lower Dir to the south. The landscape of the valley is featured by hilly terrain, green meadows, snow clad mountains and streams cut through the region. The weather of Kumrat valley is alpine climatic in nature and mild cool summers are common throughout the area, with an average temperature ranges from 20 °C to 25 °C. While in winter the temperature is very low due to heavy snow fall i.e. is 3 to 11 feet and the temperature ranges from -4 °C to -10 °C. The maximum rain fall is 255 mm and minimum is 100 mm. In comparison with other plain parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kumrat valley enjoys a more moderate climate but weather conditions are unpredictable in monsoon season & winter due to which movement is restricted to it.

1 Jehaz Banda:
Jehaz Banda is located at the south of Kumrat
Valley. It is more beautiful and charming picnic spot than Kumrat Valley, but
due to lack of road facility tourist often refuse to visit. But many tourist
visits Jehaz Banda on foot because the green and lash meadows and the famous
lakes located in Jehaz Banda attract them to visit.

Lake:
Katoora Lake is the largest lake in Pakistan. It is the second largest source of River Panjkora Water. The lake is surrounded by the green grounds, enriched with wild flowers.
1 Badgoi Top:
Badgoi top
is the joining part of Dir Kohistan and Swat Kohistan. Badgoi top is the most
beautiful and charming valley which
connects Dir Kohistan and Swat Kohistan through the green and lush mountains .
Many tourist visits the Top every year and many tourist use the Bodgoyi Top as
a second route to Kumrat valley.
1 Hashmi Museum:
A local
Social worker of village Lamoti Dir Upper had Established a museum in a far
village Jandari. Museum contain many old and historical items used in past
centuries. The museum contain ancient weapons, utensil, and many other things
used in the past.
1 Jehaz Banda Waterfall:
Jehaz Banda waterfall is one of the best and beautiful waterfalls in Jehaz
Banda Dir Upper KP. The waterfall is famous and adorable due to their height
and the flow of water. Many tourist visit the waterfall and enjoy the fogy
water flow from the mountain top to earth.
